Business listings — Overture Maps Foundation

Names, categories, locations, phones and websites come from the Overture Maps places dataset. Each record keeps the license of its original source, shown on its page and in the API:

• Most records: Community Data License Agreement – Permissive 2.0
• Foursquare-sourced records: Apache License 2.0
• AllThePlaces-sourced records: CC0 1.0

Cities and towns — US Census Bureau

The list of places, their locations and population estimates come from the Census Gazetteer and Population Estimates Program (public domain).

Services, hours and prices — businesses' own websites

We read public pages on each business's own website with an identified crawler that obeys robots.txt (details). We record facts — services offered, opening hours, published prices — with the source URL and date. Business owners can correct or remove their data at any time by emailing hello@citybotmagic.com.
